Tasty Tuesday: Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies

Good morning! I hope you’re having a wonderful week so far, and enjoying this peaceful, much-needed rain were getting here in the South.

Today’s recipe is for yummy, gooey, milk chocolate chip cookies. I have always liked using milk chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet, and I recently used this recipe and they were probably the best cookies I’ve made. This will definitely be a go-to recipe for the Haynes household when we “need” a cookie fix!

2/3 cup butter, melted

2 cups lightly packed brown sugar

2 eggs

2 tablespoons hot water

1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips

2 2/3 cups plain flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix all ingredients in mixing bowl or mixer, chocolate chips lastly. Roll dough into balls about 1 1/2″ around and place on cookie sheet. Bake for 8 minutes and let finish cooking and cool a few minutes in pan on stove or countertop.

And that’s all there is to it! This recipe made about 3 dozen cookies.

Have a blessed day!
