Good morning, everybody! I hope you had a great weekend! Cord and I spent Saturday going to a friend’s wedding and then to see two of my siblings in a Missoula Children’s Theater performance, Aladdin.
I just recently tried this new-to-me recipe. It was originally called Mac-n-Cheese but it is not macaroni and cheese! It has macaroni and it has cheese, but there are a lot more ingredients that make it more like a Hamburger Helper, so we’ll just call it Cheeseburger Macaroni.
Here’s how I made it:
1/2 lb. ground turkey (or hamburger)
1 c. water
2/3 c. salsa
1/4 tsp. Carls seasoning (or, as the recipe called for, chili powder
2 Tbsp. ketchup
1 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. mustard
2/3-3/4 c. macaroni
4 slices cheese
Fry meat; drain. Add water, salsa, chili powder, ketchup, onion powder, and mustard. Bring to a boil; add macaroni. Stir thoroughly, cover with lid, and let set for 15-20 minutes or until noodles are tender. Top with cheese and stir in.
And there you have it: dinner for two! (Simply double ingredients for full recipe.)
Have a blessed day!
“Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” (Psalm 51:10)
