Tasty Tuesday: Broccoli Salad


Good morning! I hope you’ve had a great weekend and start to your week!

Saturday evening my husband and I had broccoli salad for supper (and besides me slicing my finger with a very sharp knife, things went smoothly) and it only took a few minutes to make.

The ingredients you will need are:

• 1 head broccoli
• 6-8 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
• 1/2 c. chopped red or green onion
• 1/2 c. raisins (optional)
• 8 oz. sharp cheddar, grated
• 1 c. mayonnaise
• 2 T. white vinegar
• 1/4 c. sugar
• 1/2 c. halved cherry tomatoes
• salt and pepper to taste

Fry your bacon in a skillet and grate your cheese in a large bowl. Cut the broccoli and tomatoes and onions (and raisins, if you want) up and mix them with the cheese. Combine the mayonnaise, vinegar, and sugar, and stir that and the bacon in with the broccoli mixture. Season with salt and pepper. Either let it chill in the refrigerator or eat it right away (like we did) and there you have it!
